Synopsis: Online preview of The Shaukeens

Imagine someone flirting in his 60's! Even thinking of it seems humorous. doesn't it?! The plot of Bollywood movie The Shaukeens also serves comedy with three such lecherous old buddies who decide to do what they couldn't in their young age. They plan to go away to have fun and enjoyment for some days. The three newly-turned manchale-shaukeens meet a beauty at the locale and try to impress her. Now to impress a babe at late age is not a piece of cake; so how they three get caught with hilarious situations, this is the highlight of the story.

The Shaukeens is based on a 1982's classic  film Shaukeen which was directed by a cult director Basu Chatterjee. In this, Ashok Kumar, A.K. Hungal and Utpal Dutt had played those three transformed-to-Rangeeley oldies who go to Goa for enjoying their lives. They hire a driver who was none other than our today's Dada, Mithun Chakravorty.

The situations weave funny scenario for the three when they try to impress Rati Agnihotri, and guess what they were doing! Rati was a singer and dancer in the local club and also the lover of Mithun Chakravorty. So, basically they three were behind the lover of their "driver". Appears super funny!

In 2014's The Shaukeens, Anupam Kher, Anu Kapoor, and Piyush Mishra are playing those old buddies: Lali, KD, and Pinky who go to Mauritius. An interesting casting is being done with that lady whose character is played by Lisa Haydon as Ahana, and her lover's role is played by Akshay Kumar. Akki is going to be himself, the real him in the film, and is also presenting his alcoholic version.
