Shaandaar Music Review

Filmed on actors Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Pankaj Kapoor, Shaandaar movie songs are well-composed by Amit Trivedi and very wisely written by Amitabh Bhattarya and Anvita Dutt. The album interestingly captures you and becomes your own. Nazdeekiyaan is a good piece of its genre. Gulaabo and Senti Wali Mental are two Bollywood songs that hold power of making space for them. These songs and their music are fresh, compelling and off course, MAD.

Shaandaar Songs: Online Video Songs of Shaandaar movie with details, Review and Rating

Shaam Shaandaar

Singer: Amit Trivedi
Composer: Amit Trivedi
Lyricist: Amitabh Bhattacharya

The traditional, masti bhare dhol beats are enough to make your evening. They are so foot tapping that you will have to control your feet and heart from beating loud to dance. The title track of movie Shaandaar is fueled and energized with techno sounds. The song doesn’t have any highlighted portions though. Amit Trivedi has crooned and composed this Shaam Shaandaar party track.

Singer: Vishal Dadlani, Anusha Mani
Composer: Amit Trivedi
Lyricist: Anvita Dutt

The way Vishal Dadlani has sung Gulaabo, he has just nailed it. What vocal expression! His experience and years of work speaks loud in his singing. He knows very well where to give throw to voice and where just let it go. He is irreplaceable, at least for this song. Anusha Mani has also matched his energy pretty well and sung shoulder to shoulder. Gulaabo is undeniably a peppy song that you can’t avoid. Don’t know in what mood this song is penned by Anvita Dutt, but she has wisely put the elements to fill it with masti and zeal. Yes, the lyrics of Gulaabo song also play a major role to make it a hit among youth.

Singer: Nikhil Paul George, Neeti Mohan
Composer: Amit Trivedi
Lyricist: Amitabh Bhattacharya

Nazdeekiyaan knocks the ears with a bounding music piece. Right from the beginning, the sweetness of the song remains highlighted. The entering voice extension by Nikhil Paul George does well to capture you and Neeti Mohan continues the job. Amitabh Bhattacharya has given her attempt beautifully to describe the phase when two hearts start coming close to each other, increasing their Nazdeekiyaan. She has portrayed in her words- how the world turns airy-fairy; how those two eyes creates the way for hearts; and how the inner shadows just fly in love. Amit Trivedi has kept the music sweet yet catchy.

Senti Wali Mental

Singer: Neeti Mohan, Arijit Singh, Amit Trivedi, Swanand Kirkire
Composer: Amit Trivedi
Lyricist: Amitabh Bhattacharya

Senti Wali Mental song is a Cchoriyan vs Cchokre (Girls vs boys) face off that is amazingly embellished with quirky lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Sung by talented Arijit Singh, Neeti Mohan, and Swanand Kirkire, the Senti Wali Mental song is a back to back fight between girls and boys group. It sounds like a debate war where the words are weapons and no side is ready to quit. And after a long innings of master strokes by both the parties, the boys surrenders in front of girls, accepting them as an amazing creation of God. The song is powerful from every aspect- at singing, lyrical, and composition front. The whole team-work has raised it.

Raitaa Phailgaya

Singer: Divya Kumar
Composer: Amit Trivedi
Lyricist: Amitabh Bhattacharya

Raitaa Phail gaya is a popular phrase of Hindi language which is used when the situation or things get worsen. Sung by Divya Kumar and penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, Raitaa Phailgaya sounds like a filler song. This might go with the film, but will not become a part of the playlist.

The Bottom Line: Music Review of Shaandaar Album

The dhol beats of title track Shaandaar, singing of Vishal Dadlani in Gulaabo, sweetness of romantic track Nazdeekiyaan, and entertaining lyrical war between girls and boys in Seti wali Mental song are the elements that are highlights of Shaandaar music album. Amit Trivedi has made the album in a way that anyone can feel connected with. And Amitabh Bhattacharya is the one behind the album, who is sparkling in all the songs with her intelligent lyrics. Especially, Senti wali Mental is one long track that is pretty differently woven by the writer.

The songs are served with well balanced amount of music and approachable lyrics, and easily grab 3.5 out of 5. Overall, the album seems a hit which also does very well in igniting the curiosity sparks about the storyline and chemistry between Shahid Kappoor and Alia Bhatt.
