Wazir Music Review
Tere Bin, composed by Shantanu Moitra, is a romantic track for which two ultimate singers Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal have hold the mikes. Tu Mere Paas is a sadistic track that sounds completely an Ankit Tiwari song which is beautifully penned by Manoj Muntashir. Atrangi Yari is an interesting dedication to friendship.
Other songs have their own taste and goes with the film only. Team Wazir has done its job well but the songs do not stick with you. Maula Mere Maula is another composition of Shantanu Moitra which level is raised by amazing singing of Javed Ali.
Khel Khel Mein is a weighty song as it has got not only heavy vocals if Amitabh Bachchan, but also heavy lyrics by Abhijeet Deshpande. Band Advaita has debuted well with a very different genre of song. Prashant Pillai has brought Tere Liye which fits to the film only.
The last yet important soundtrack that steps its feet firmly in the album is Gaurav Godkhindi's Wazir Theme which is a winning background score for a suspense thriller like Wazir.
Wazir Songs: Online Video Songs of Wazir movie with details, Review and Rating
Tere Bin Tere Bin
Singer: Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal
Composer: Shantanu Moitra
Lyricist: Vidhu Vinod Chopra
When two of the most melodious voices were crooning something, it had to be worth listening. Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal have made Tere Bin song sweeter to ears. The use of tabla in composition is so nicely done that the rhythm is perked up. The flute pieces have added to it further in opening lines. This can hold space in your playlist too and its charm in your brain. The stanza Baware Piya laage na jiya… sees signature harkatein of Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam’s vocals. This is surely the best pick from music album Wazir.
Tu Mere Paas
Singer: Ankit Tiwari
Composer: Ankit Tiwari
Lyricist: Manoj Muntashir
One can easily recognize the voice of Ankit Tiwari in the entering line Mein hoon adha mujh mein and can stamp it on his further high note. Ankit Tiwari knows where to be sluggish with the pace and where to run the feel with straight high points. Tu mere paas tu hai na is a well justified song from the singer’s end, but might be lacking interest for you because this finishes leaving you at mind-tiring state.
Maula Mere Maula
Singer: Javed Ali
Composer: Shantanu Moitra
Lyricists: Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Swanand Kirkire
Javel Ali has shown a different version of his voice texture in Maula, which comes as a surprise. He has proved himself again in this qawali style of song. He has raised the composition on power of his vocals. Maula is a track of Wazir which doesn’t give you a pure Sufi soul, but the successful singing efforts and variations given by Javed Ali grab your attention for his work.
Khel Khel Mein Khel Khel Ke
Singer: Amitabh Bachchan
Composer: Advaita (band)
Lyricist: Abhijeet Deshpande
The classical vocals fused with techno sounds create an environment of mysteries. The heavy baritone texture of Amitabh Bachchan nails the style of delivering the brainy lyrics of Khel Khel Mein… The Kathak dancers can use its pieces for amazingly fused performances.
Singers: Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar
Composer: Rochak Kohli
Lyricists: Gurpreet Saini, Deepak Ramola
The guitar strumming is so pappy that it makes your mood. There enters the amazingly soulful voice of Amitabh Bachchan that captivates you entirely right at the moment he sings Yaari, Teri Yari. Farhan Akhtar doesn't sing great though, yet if you are watching the video too, the tuning of Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar doesn't let you focus on singing falls. However, the song is a sweet friendship song by Rochak Kohli, where the lyrics of Atrangi Yaari are penned by Gurpreet Saini and Deepak Ramola.
Tere Liye Mera Kareem
Singers: Gagan Baderiya, Prashant Pillai
Composer: Prashant Pillai
Lyricist: A. M. Turaz
Tere Liye Mera sounds like a filler song that works as background music with which the story also leads. It touches both Sufi and techno-electric style of feel. It is intriguing at its composition and will be liked to listen in movie only.
Composer: Gaurav Godkhindi
The theme track of Bejoy Nambiar’s Wazir is one of the perfect background scores that hold power to evoke the thrill in your spine. It has a wary feel which holds the crisps of suspense and freshness of fascination.
The Bottom Line: Music Review of Wazir Album
Embellished with multiple composers and lyricists, Wazir music album gives only one melodious song, that is Shantanu Moitra's Tere Bin by Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam. The grieve side and singing of Ankit Tiwari in Tu Mere Paas set your mind at a lethargic mode; Manoj Muntashir has come up to the mark with his lyrics though. The friendship song of Wazir, Atrangi Yaari has soulful contribution of Amitabh Bachchan's voice and with added singing of Farhan Akhtar.
Maula Mere Maula is a filmy quawali by Shantanu Moitra which spells the words of two talented lyricists: Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Swanand Kirkire. Javed Ali shines in qawali Maula Mere Maula. Though, the only remarkable thing in the track is Javed's vocal, not the song. Debuting band Advaita does good for the Wazir movie album. Tere Liye brings Sufi touch, but do not touch the hearts of the viewers. The theme of Wazir by Gaurav Godkhindi sounds lifting your mood as background track.
Basically, Wazir music album is full of what a mysterious thriller film demands, but comes empty for the playlists of listeners, where Tere Bin is an exception.
