The first look of Hrithik Roshan as Sarman, the savior of Mohenjo Daro, and the set up recalls Lagan, an awards winning movie of Bollywood. Well, our brains don’t betray us while joining the loops as here what connects these two movies is the common director of the films- Ashutosh Gowariker. He is none other than but the director of Jodha Akbar too where also Hrithik had his hero. No wonder, such makers know their job and how to create history out of history, the way Lagan and Jodha Akbar had.

However, in case of Mohenjo Daro, the task was not easier for the director and his team as this time they had to set up an era about which negligible information is available. Here you are the bites of a love story which is about Mohenjo Daro, its people and the two who claim that Mohenjo Daro belongs to them. One of them is our hero who is the savior Sarman who wants to serve Mohenjo Daro’s people and another is the baddie who wants to rule over them- Maham.

So this film is a love story with a hero and a villain, then what makes it a robust project which makes it attractive for the audience to lose their pockets? Let's know below!

Primitive Setup

It is always interesting to watch how a talented director like Ashutosh Gowariker showcases his visions and love story of that era through primitive setups on screen.

Ashutosh Gowariker took about three years to weave a story based on ancient Indus Valley civilization; and to give it authenticity, he took help of some archaeologists too, who had contributed to document its discovery. It took not only the time, but a lot of efforts too.

Hrithik Roshan as Sarman with an Ordinary Yet Stout Look

Hrithik Roshan playing Sarman has donned an appearance of an ordinary person who gets a strong call from his soil. Mohenjo Daro, the land of this ordinary man who is a farmer of Neel, gets attracted by his every desire to visit the city. When he reaches there, his every instinct finds Mohenjo Daro his own land.

He is given a tall-dark-handsome appearance to show him Ashutosh's farmer hero. His costume- dhoti and upper outfit adds to his full-bodied character. Not only Hrithik’s dress, but his language, flow of delivering dialogues, and typical Hindi makes him a perfectly suited one for being Sarman.

No wonder it calls for a lot of hard work to make one sweat through a sweating farmer’s look, and Hrithik hit the right chord here.

Urbane and Sophisticated yet Strapping Pooja Hegde as Chaani

Not only Mohenjo Daro, the place, but his heart connects with a girl too. She is Chaani, the symbol of Sindhu Maa in the film, and the girl of our hero’s heart. Her appearance is given the touch of a princess of that era.

A Brawny Villain, Ruler of Mohenjo Daro: Kabir Bedi Does Amazing as Maham

Such a historical film doesn’t match its expectations if the hero is not challenged by a challenger stronger enough in appearance. Here who comes to challenge Sarman, is Kabur Bedi as Maham who rules over Mohenjo Daro and decides the fates of people residing there; he decides who will live and who will die.

Potent Mantra of Unity Flaunted Sturdily by Hrithik Roshan

Well, as the film is not about a superhero or a magician with extraordinary powers, it was not a piece of cake to challenge the kingdom of Maham and rebel with one man army. Then what was the way which could make the hero reach his destination and collapse the empire built on evil deeds of Maham? He shows the same way which proved the root mantra for the freedom of India. Yes, it was “Unity” that could work there.

Sarman, as savior, plays a thread that unites the residing people and motivates them to turn from being like an open fist to the closed one for independence.

Mohenjo Daro Releasing on a Perfect Day- Independence Day

Ashutosh Gowariker and team choose the right day for releasing of Mohenjo Daro which is Independence Day of India as in film, the hero wins over the villain on the Mantra of Unity, the way India had won over British rule. Mohenjo Saro tells a love story and with it, this is also about seeking freedom from the baddie Maham and getting rid of his evil kingdom. So, what day could have been perfect than August 15th to connect people when the patriotic spirits flows high?

Sequences of Dare-Devil Stunts and Action

A film which involves the fight with tigers and a crocodile sequence, it surely is heavy on action part as well. The director and writer of Mohenjo Daro, Ashutosh Gowariker has tried to fill the film with all those elements that make a movie capable of hitting the screens with a bang- be it the romantic side or action's side.

It would be interesting to watch the love story woven on the land of Mohenjo Daro which is envisioned by Ashutosh Gowariker.

How an ordinary person becomes a Tarak of Mohenjo Daro; what were those circumstances that make his love story worth written in golden words?; how the ruler Maham is replaced by the savior and server Sarman, these all questions are answered by the story of 2016 B.C.-Mohenjo Daro, which is an epic adventure-romance movie. Let's wait and watch on does this proves an epic and memorable on box office too, or not.
